About the event
Yoga is a practice.
With regularity, and consistency in whatever that practice looks like for you, you welcome in its healing benefits.
You brush your teeth everyday (or so we assume), so why wouldn't you nurture your body, breath and spirit with the same consistency?
Yoga is not something 'we do'. It is who we are.
It reconnects us to our true selves. The practice of yoga peels off all these layers of our
being; the roles you play in this life, the titles you have, the obligations you hold, all of it washes away in your practice so you can find YOU
In these group classes, we explore gentle movements (asana), breathwork (pranayama) and mindfulness (dyhana).
When you sign up, you make a commitment to yourself, to meet yourself, amid the hustle and bustle of all those roles and responsibilities you carry.
You give back to yourself, by meeting together, in community here at CCP.
Soften so you can find that inner silence of self. Your true self.
Yin / Restorative Yoga "It's time to feel, so you can begin to heal" - John Barnes This class targets the deep connective tissues in the body, such as your fascia, ligaments and joints. Postures are held for a minimum of 3 minutes, to allow the body to begin to repair and restore.
Use of props is required, to allow the physical body to be embraced and allow for settlement into the postures, encouraging a feeling of safety to 'let go' so that healing can be received. Most if not all postures are from a seated or supine (lying down) position, with occasional brief lunge work, or downward dog to transition from one position to the next.
No previous yoga experience is required; not recommended for those with clinical hypermobility issues. If you own props and would like to bring them please include a bolster, blanket, strap and blocks.
This is the ultimate experience to help with rest, restoring and managing breath work and relaxation.
If you do not have these items, they will be provided for you in class.
